Tho Xuan Airport to be Upgraded to International Status

Share

The Ministry of Transport has agreed on upgrading Tho Xuan Airport in the central province of Thanh Hoa to international airport status. New infrastructure and services will be required to raise Tho Xuan airport’s capacity from 2.5 million passengers per year to 5 million by 2030. The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) was tasked with outlining the investment plan for the airport. According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Tho Xuan airport has seen some of the fastest growth in Vietnam. With comprehensive infrastructure and equipment, and an international standard air traffic control tower which was put into service earlier this year, the airport now can handle 105,000 flights each year.
