Gonpo is a Swiss citizen. He graduated from the University of St. Gallen and did a postgraduate MBA from Business School IMD Lausanne. He has in-depth global experiences in IT, Marketing, Finance, M&A, and managing large projects. He was on the Executive Board of DKSH for over a decade. Also, he has served as Vice Chairman of Orell Füssli, Chairman of Maurice Lacroix, and board member of Bovet. He sits on the board of deep-tech companies such as Cysec, SafeHouse Technologies, Anapaya, and Dizmo, among others.
Gonpo has repeatedly identified promising tech start-ups and accelerated their internationalisation for foreign markets. Today, he is a significant private equity investor in Europe and Asia and guides DTH toward achieving its business objectives profitably and sustainably.

Thomas is a citizen of Thailand, Switzerland and Italy. He studied law and economics at the Universities in Zurich and Berne and was equipped with critical thinking, analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of legal concepts and principles.
Throughout his career, he cultivated a wealth of experience across different industries and possesses therefore a wide range of commercial experience, working as a railroad freight handler, station cleaner and trade settlement officer in the securities department in a private bank. His wide range of experience also includes hands-on experience as a plumber, baker, sandwich man, construction worker, accountant, logistics manager for a fashion show, lighting technician in operas, sales promoter, as a reporter in a sports news agency and as location manager for the Swiss TV.
He started to work in the travel business as a tour leader, guide and resident manager in all countries of Europe, USA, Mexico, Canada, Russia, China and Thailand and travelled extensively in that role.
He has lived in Thailand for 35 years, where he founded his own company specialising in ground arrangements for an array of tour operators while establishing new destinations and forming strong partnerships with hotels and service providers. He notably expanded Thomas Cook’s presence in Asia, raising up conscientiously the corporate profile and profitability beyond any commercial agreement.

Ee Lyn brings extensive and diverse experience in strategic financial leadership, having led fiscal operations across multiple countries in the APAC (Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan) and SEA (Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines) regions. Her cross-functional acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance has driven initiatives that enhance organisational financial health and operational efficiency.
A Malaysian native, Ee Lyn has called Thailand her home for the past years. Her passion for travel extends to her love of linguistics, as she studies Thai and French in her free time.

Nickky grew up in Malaysia, where he earned his degree in Computer Science. With 15 years of experience in the Asian travel technology industry, he has worked with numerous key travel companies to implement travel tech and solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
As DTH Travel’s Chief Innovation Officer, his mission is to advocate and enable digital innovations, a key component for DTH Travel’s long-term success as one of the key players in the travel industry.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Meggie has 15 years of experience in global marketing and advertising, with over 10 years working in the tourism industry. She started her career in Grey Philippines, an advertising agency in Manila, before moving to the Philippine Tourism Ministry. There she took charge of implementing the globally-awarded “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” Campaign. In 2016, she was appointed as Director of the Tourism Ministry’s office in Frankfurt, Germany, managing the country’s tourism promotion activities across Europe.
Despite having lived and travelled abroad for many years, Meggie’s fascination with discovering different cultures and new perspectives has not waned. She loves to celebrate big and small milestones with good food, wine, family, and friends, wherever in the world she may be.

After more than 30 years in the travel industry, David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, including nearly 25 years of focus on product management and contracting within the Asia Pacific region.
As an industry veteran, he was alsothe Head of Faraway Product for Premier Holidays where he played an integral role in developing products. Over the course of his tenure, he helped grow the company’s offerings from a small Far East pamphlet to a large worldwide brochure.
David loves all sports — from rugby to motor racing — and regularly plays cricket, tennis, badminton, and golf. He makes it a point to go skiing every year.
Director of Sales for the UK and Ireland
Tiago has an unbeatable passion for Asia. He has been living in the region for the past 12 years, travelling extensively and revelling in the diversity of cultures. Apart from working in the tourism industry, he has published his own artworks, promoted festivals, and even collaborated with a local TV channel for a mini docu-series in Vietnam.
Business Development Manager for Spain, Portugal, and Latin America
Olesia graduated from the Russian International Academy of Tourism, with a Masters degree in Tourism Management. She started her career in a small travel agency in Moscow, before moving to work in one of the largest tour operator companies in Russia, where she handled MICE and Group Travel for 15 years.
Her passion for travel and new discoveries led to the life-changing decision of moving to Thailand, where she later joined DTH Travel as its Business Development Manager for the Russia and CIS markets.
Olesia is a huge fan of Bangkok. She enjoys long walks around the various neighbourhoods, and diving into hidden local spots with good music and wine.

Sonam has been with DTH Travel Bhutan since 2008, serving as our Executive Director. He grew up in India, and is a hospitality graduate with an MBA in Hotel and Tourism Management from University Centre Cesar Ritz in Switzerland.
Sonam brings pride to Bhutan wherever he goes – he was the first Bhutanese citizen to be employed as the Rooms Division Manager in Training at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where due to his outstanding performance, he was nominated as Leader of the Quarter twice, within only the first three months of his employment.

Sonam is an Economics alumnus from Northeast Hill University in Shilong, India, where he graduated with honours back in 2011. Before joining DTH Travel Bhutan, he served under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as an inspector.
When he’s not at work, he spends his time playing football, travelling, and listening to music.

Villy is a proud alumnus of the prestigious Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management. Before joining DTH Travel in 2022, he served various roles across leading tour operators and hotels. He even became a Guest Experience Agent at the Grand Hyatt Singapore, all while still finishing his studies.
Villy loves to stay active, enjoying various sports like basketball and football.

Chanda graduated from the National Institute of Management, back in 2000. She started her career at the APSARA National Authority, under the Department of Tourism Development, before joining DTH Travel in 2003. With 19 years of experience, she has been Team Leader for DTH Travel Cambodia’s French market since 2018.
Outside of work, you might find Chanda travelling, wandering a foreign land, or at a sports field for a good game.

Sunnarith graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management. He started his career accumulating all the experience he could from hotels and local travel agencies before joining DTH Travel Cambodia in 2013.
In his free time, Sunnarith takes it easy with leisurely adventures around Cambodia or a good game of badminton.
Team Leader – English, MICE & GIT Market
Seakpheng graduated from the Chamka Doung Institute of Agriculture in 1991. He started his career in Cambodia’s local tourism industry as a translator. Eventually, in 1993, he joined DTH Travel Cambodia as assistant to the Operations Manager. He rose up the ranks and became group supervisor, and in August 2018, he was appointed Team Leader for the German market.
Naturally, Seakpheng enjoys travelling with friends and family, but when he’s just at home, he loves to cosy up with a good movie or drama series.

Sophea began her career as a Tour Coordinator in 1997. In 2002, she joined DTH Travel Cambodia as part of its Reservation Staff, and after 16 years, she was appointed Team Leader of the SIC & Latin markets.

Zhang Fan graduated from Xi’an International Studies University and kicked off his career with a 4-year stint at the Chinese Embassy in Berlin. For the past 30 years, he’s been back in China working in the inbound tourism industry.
Throughout his career, he’s held a variety of positions, including product manager, operation department head for European markets, and Deputy General Manager overlooking sales and marketing. A true professional and travel industry enthusiast, Mr. Fan is also an active Executive Vice President of the Xi’an Tourism Association.

After graduating with a degree in Hotel Management in Switzerland, Eric returned to China, working within the inbound tourism sector in various positions. His fluency in English has allowed him to specialise in handling guests from Europe and other English-speaking countries. With his experience, he’s already developed the ability to anticipate what these clients will need, and have answers and solutions ready.

His extracurricular missions in hospitality and travel lecturing helped him shape an industry-wide vision. His focus is to bring positive change and innovation to the regional travel business.

Xay’s career in travel and hospitality has humble beginnings. He started as a waiter, where he developed his skills in customer service. It was there that he got a glimpse into the world of DMCs and travel agencies.

Gordon was born and raised in Germany, but about two decades ago, he decided to explore his mother’s roots in the mystical island of Borneo. There he discovered a haven for nature and wildlife enthusiasts, rich with history and its own cultural heritage. Having welcomed and led many guests on various paths through Borneo’s dense vegetation, he is always ready to share his personal insights and deep knowledge of the region.

Syuhada’s love for travel led her to the tourism industry. She started out in the Reservation Department, before moving to operations. Now, 16 years later, she has certainly grown into a travel expert and serves in business development and MICE.
Syuhada is naturally curious and values learning from the people around her. Apart from travelling, she also has a passion for nature, history, and culture.

Howard’s diverse range of professional experiences has honed a versatile skill set, ideally suited for his current passion — tourism. From commercial radio, to the telecommunications industry, he eventually found himself in Maldives tourism, now with almost a decade of experience.
Beyond his professional endeavors, he finds joy in music of all genres, as a former club DJ. Yet, the most cherished aspect of his life are his two children, who gave him an opportunity to relive his own childhood.

Lalith is a true tourism professional. He launched his career in the industry at a company formerly known as Hemtours, now DTH Travel Sri Lanka. With over 16 years of experience in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, he has earned a reputation for being a calm presence in any situation.
He takes pride in his extensive exploration of the Maldives, having visited and stayed on nearly 70 of the 105 resort islands. When he’s not traversing islands by seaplane or speedboat, he indulges in his love for music and movies. Plus, he’s also a passionate foodie.

Shareek has been a proud part of DTH Travel since 2010, and was one of the pioneers who helped establish DTH Travel’s second office in the Maldives. This path came with numerous challenges, but with unwavering dedication and pride, he triumphed bringing the company to where it stands today.
He has had the opportunity to serve esteemed tour operators from Europe and the Middle East. His journey with DTH Travel continues as he strives to grow alongside the dynamic and motivated team. Beyond his professional life, he has a deep passion for music and solo travel.

Carmen started her career in the tourism industry right after completing her studies. After graduating, she joined Hemtours, now known as DTH Travel Sri Lanka. Since the inception of DTH Travel Maldives, Carmen has been an unwavering pillar of her team. With her expertise spanning across customer care and administration, her keen eye for detail shines through her work.
Carmen leads the essential and rapidly growing FIT division where she nurtures her younger colleagues with a motherly love — fostering their growth and development as young professionals in the tourism industry. When work ends, Carmen is a passionate music lover who secretly dreams of being a dancer. As for now though, her world revolves around her two young boys who bring joy and fulfilment to her life.

Phyoe joined DTH Travel Myanmar in 1995 as an administrative staff. He climbed the corporate ladder and studied the business of a DMC for the next 10 years before venturing on his own to establish a tour company from scratch.
After his first foray into entrepreneurship, Phyoe established and successfully operated All Asia Exclusive Travel for over 10 years before rejoining DTH Travel Myanmar as its Managing Director. An active stakeholder of Myanmar’s tourism industry, Phyoe led the Myanmar Tourism Marketing Association and was conferred with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Assumption University in Bangkok in 2014.
As a keen humanitarian, Phyoe is a founding member and the first president of the Rotary Club of Central Yangon. Beyond his passion for tourism, he spends his leisure time working together with like-minded friends to help the underprivileged in his community.

Originally from Slovenia, Gregor has been living in Asia for the past ten years, and is in charge of Blue Horizons Travel & Tours, Inc. He has over 25 years of experience in tourism and hospitality, working for different DMCs in Europe before joining DTH Travel.

Marjorie was born and raised in the Philippines and graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Interior Design. She began her career with Blue Horizons Travel & Tours, Inc. in January 2010 as a Sales and Marketing Executive and has since worked her way up the corporate ladder. She takes pleasure in researching and developing new products, and is a strong advocate for sustainability and community-inclusive tourism.
Aside from her professional endeavours Marjorie is a self-confessed thalassophile and often satisfies her sense of adventure through scuba diving and exploring an environment that not many people get to see.

Carla earned her degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management from an exclusive girl’s institution in Manila. She has been in the profession for 32-years and has extensive experience with incoming groups and MICE. She oversees the Groups department, which handles all types of inbound travel, including leisure, business meetings, conferences, seminars, events, local corporate incentives, and group series.
Carla is a natural leader, and the entire staff follows her unshakable commitment for going the extra mile to meet the demands of the clients. She is meticulous and organised both at work and at home. She completely adores her 3 fur babies (Shih tzus) named Cotton, Bagel and Pretzel. A true blooded fashionista, Carla is the epitome of effortless elegance.

Jona, completed her degree in Hotel, Restaurant Management in the University of Santo Tomas. Her career path began in the fast-paced world of hotel operations in Singapore. As her work exposed her to various areas of hospitality, she gained a thorough understanding of customer service, operational efficiency, and the complexities of providing excellent guest experiences with her experience in different areas of hospitality.
Her career took a turn when she joined Blue Horizons Travel & Tours, Inc. to handle the Chinese speaking market. Armed with her Mandarin speaking skills, sheer grit and clear understanding of our guest’s needs, she has charmed the hearts of our clients.

Mayet is a gastronomic adventurer who enjoys culinary delights after a long day at work. On weekends, she prefers simple pleasures such as wandering through the mall with her family.

With a decade of experience in sales, operations, and client account management, Jane brings a deep understanding of market dynamics and client needs to foster service-oriented and long-term relationships with our clients.
Jane began her journey with DTH Travel as an Assistant Manager, where she set new operational standards in close coordination with our local partners. Her proactive approach allowed us to constantly provide tailor-fit servicing for our clients, always hinging on local insights and honest product information – skills which she eagerly brings forward to her role as General Manager.
Jane is an avid traveller, with a particular interest in interacting with people from all walks of life. Since joining the company as a trainee in 1995, Shiraj has grown into an invaluable member of DTH Travel Sri Lanka. He brings a wealth of expertise to the team, holding a membership with the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (UK), supplementing his diploma in Sales Management.
Shiraj’s early life experiences paved the way for his journey in leadership. In his time at university, he represented Sri Lanka at the International Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. He now leads a highly efficient team that consistently goes the extra mile to craft the perfect holiday experience for many explorers.

Durga got her start in the tourism industry as a personal assistant to the CEO of a renowned Sri Lankan travel company. It was here that she discovered her deep affection for the hotel and travel industry. Starting her career with a focus on inbound services, Durga has since been instrumental in welcoming explorers and helping them fall in love with this enchanting country.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Durga is an inquisitive soul, driven by passion for learning. She finds joy in reading, experimenting with new recipes, and capturing stunning moments on her travels with her photography. As a dedicated mother to two wonderful boys, she relishes sharing quality moments with her sons.

A native Swiss, Stefan grew up in the tourism industry and has valuable experience in selling travel experiences to Asia. He led the private customer department at Tourasia in Switzerland before moving to Thailand in 2015 to take the lead role for a major DMC. With his “customer first” approach, Stefan makes for a competent partner for any request, from luxury travel to MICE. In his free time, Stefan enjoys football, ice hockey and exploring new areas, with a particular fondness for nice boutique hotels.

Aljoscha graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons in Switzerland, after which he got involved in projects with players in the global tourism industry, including the UN World Travel Organization. His experience in marketing and product development, together with his global perspective and approach has put him on the path of turning his passion for travel into a career.
He joined DTH Travel Thailand in 2022, taking care of the company’s clients from the European and African Market. Having moved to the country during the pandemic, he made the most of the unique opportunity to explore the country from every side and angle. Since then, Aljoscha has fallen in love with Thailand’s people, culture, and cuisine. If he’s not creating another unforgettable experience for his clients, you might find him on one of the trains, on his way to explore a new corner of Thailand.

Since joining DTH Travel Thailand when it was still Diethelm Travel in 2014, Phanit has been a driving force in managing VIP clients and luxury agents, particularly in the UK and USA markets. As a Travel Designer, she has consistently demonstrated innovative approaches in designing personalised experiences, recommending accommodations that exceed expectations, and selecting guides and itineraries that align perfectly with clients’ unique specifications. Her commitment to delivering a seamless, one-stop service across Southeast Asia has been instrumental in shaping the company’s VIP and luxury offerings.

General Manager
Cuong is a true Hanoian, born and raised in the capital city. He learned travel management from the reputed Hanoi Open University. In 2007, he joined DTH Travel Vietnam as a junior in the Reservations Department. Since then, his career has steadily developed, and he is now responsible for overseeing the whole country’s operations. He’s deeply passionate about his work. Country Manager
Hang graduated from the Faculty of Tourism at Hanoi University of Culture in 2006 and then began working at the front desk of a hotel. She joined DTH Travel Vietnam in 2013 as administrative staff, then moved on to the Sales & Reservation department before taking the leadership of the contracting team. Over time, she has become the preferred liaison of all of DTH Travel’s partner hotels and services suppliers in Vietnam.
Contracting Lead
Lien graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology from France’s Nancy-Université back in 2007. With more than 15 years of experience in sales and customer experience management, he shows incredible commitment and expertise in supporting international guests through their holidays.
He is fluent in French and English, which only adds to how he delivers flawless travel experiences to all the explorers he welcomes to Vietnam.
