30-Day Tourist Laos eVisas Now Available

Visiting the charming country of Laos just got easier with the launch of a convenient eVisa system. Now visitors from all nations can apply online at laoevisa.gov.la to receive a 30-day tourist visa with additional visas expected to be added in the future.

To apply, travellers must fill out an online form and pay the processing fee via credit card. (Visa fees will incur an added 15 USD when applying online.)

The processing time is expected to take up to three working days after which approved travellers can download an official eVisa approval letter to show upon arrival in the country.

Getting an eVisa before arrival will further speed up travellers’ entry times at eVisa priority lanes at two of the country’s main entry points:

  • Wattay International Airport
  • Luang Prabang International Airport

Of course, it’s still possible to secure tourist visas at a Laos embassy or consulate before travelling, or apply for a visa on arrival.
