US News & World Report has listed Vietnam as one of the 30 best solo travel destinations alongside its neighbours Singapore and Thailand. The media outlet also lists Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi among the country’s top attractions. Vietnam is described as offering solo vacationers “a safe destination with friendly locals and outstanding cuisine.” Other destinations on the list were top travel spots like Rome, Paris, Morocco and Seville and well as lesser known US destinations like Beaver Creek, Colorado and Asheville, North Carolina.
