In this new one-day workshop, participants will have the chance to discover the rich Vietnamese paper making history and experience the art of traditional paper making themselves with the help of local artisans. Participants will also learn more about the studio’s socially responsible business model and about the young dynamic Vietnamese team that strives to preserve a dying art.

After a scenic drive to Hoa Binh, a lush mountainous province in Vietnam’s northwestern region, participants will visit the material plantation and be introduced to the Vietnamese paper making history and story involving the social mission of culture preservation. Observe the tools and steps needed then, after lunch, make your own paper before driving back to Hanoi.
