An Overview of Your Adventure

Day 1

From Manila travel 360 kilometers north to Banaue, stopping at Bacolor, one of the towns ravaged by Mt. Pinatubo’s in 1991 eruption. Here you’ll visit the St. Guillermo church, which is still half-buried after the lahar flood. Afterwards, head north to Banaue, and settle into your hotel.

Day 2

Board a local jeepney followed by a short hike to Banga-an native village where you can spend time and intermingle with the indigenous Ifugao Tribe of Banaue. After which, you’ll make quick stops to several vantage points to admire the 2,000-year-old rice terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the ethnographic museum in Bontoc which houses an interesting collection of artifacts of the aboriginal groups in the region. Continue on to the tranquil highland settlement of Sagada for your overnight accommodation.

Day 3

Visit Sagada’s famous burial caves, following a trail to see the hanging coffins. You’ll also drop by a weaving house where the local womenfolk engage in hand-loom weaving, before heading to Baguio City, the ‘Summer Capital of the Philippines’ at an elevation of 1540 metres.

Day 4

This day will be spent on a rolling tour of Baguio, making stops at Session Road, Burnham Park, and the Mansion House, the President’s summer residence, before visiting the public market, one of the most colourful marketplaces in the country. Arrive in Manila in the evening.
