An Overview of Your Adventure
Day 1
Travel from Kuching to Kampong Mongkos in 2 hours, travelling through stunning rural countryside. Explore the busy local market in Serian and have lunch in Serian or near Ranchang Pool. When you arrive at the Mongkos Bidayuh community, you will be greeted with a traditional dance. Check into your rural homestay and explore the history of the ‘Confrontation’ era with your guide. Stroll through the town, meet the residents, and eat a delicious meal. Your cultural experience is enhanced by an evening village tour with your guide.
Day 2
Take a guided village trail walk after breakfast to a riverbank picnic place with a mini-waterfall. Explore nearby fields and interact with the agricultural community while watching a traditional meal prepared in bamboo leaf “pots.”
As the day concludes, check out and return to Kuching with fond recollections of your cultural adventure.
