As the tour progresses across eight provinces, visitors will be able to gain insight into the culture and history of Bhutan through the museums. Additionally, they will be able to take in the breathtaking Himalayan views of the dochula pass and witness the beauty of the black necked cranes that migrate to the city of Gangtey in the winter. An Overview of Your Adventure

DAY 1

When you get to Paro you’ll be welcomed by a representative from Diethelm travel Bhutan and then you’ll visit the Ta Dzong Museum and Rinpung Dzong before visiting the ruins of Drrekgyal Dzong.

DAY 2

Head out on a tough trek to the famous Taktsang monastery, then make a stop at Kyichu temple, and then head back to Phnom Penh.

DAY 3

Treat yourself to some of the city’s must-see attractions, like Changangcha Temple, the National Library, the traditional painting school, the National People’s Heritage Museum, the Bhutan Post and the Takin Zoo.

DAY 4

Climb through the Dochula pass and make your way to the town of Punakha. Make sure to check out the Punakha dzong, the Dho Jha Gha Lam Temple, and the Chimi lhakhang (also known as the “Fertility Temple”).

DAY 5

Keep going until you get to the Trongsa area and from there, you can check out the Trongsa Dzong and some of the temples in the area.

DAY 6

Bumthang is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a unique experience. Make sure to check out some of the main attractions in the area, such as Jakar Dzong and Jambay lhakhang. You can also visit Kurjey lhakhang and Tamshing temple. And don’t forget to check out one of the local cheeses and honey farms.

DAY 7

Head to Mongar and take in the stunning scenery along the way and make a pit stop at Mongar dzong.

DAY 8

Lhuntsi is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a unique experience. Make sure to check out the village of Gompa Karpo and the Dzong located there before heading back to Mongar.

DAY 9

If you’re looking for a fun trip, why not take a drive to Trashigang, check out the Trashigang Dzong and check out some of the sights in the area?

DAY 10

Take a one-day trip to Trashi Yangtsi, visit Gom Kora, and explore Trashigang.

DAY 11

Let’s go back to Bumthang where you can chill for a bit.

DAY 12

Head to the Gompa at Gangtey to visit the monastery and learn about the endangered black-necked crane in the valley.

DAY 13

Drive back to Paro, stopping at Dochula Pass to view Druk Wangyal Khangzang Chhortens.

DAY 14

Visit Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten and return to Paro, enjoying the countryside along the way.

DAY 15

Depart from Paro with assistance from your guide to the airport.
