An Overview of Your Adventure

DAY 1

– Arrive in Lhasa and transfer to your hotel.
– Rest and acclimate to the altitude (3,650m), ensuring a smooth transition.

DAY 2

– Visit Drepung Monastery, once the largest in Tibet.
– Witness the famous Buddhist debate sessions at Sera Monastery.
– Enjoy a traditional Tibetan welcome dinner to immerse in local culture.

DAY 3

– Explore the iconic Potala Palace, former residence of the Dalai Lama.
– Visit Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibet, and stroll through Barkhor Street.
– Enjoy a local tea house experience, tasting Tibetan butter tea while learning about the local daily life.

DAY 4

– Drive through high mountain passes, stopping at Yamdrok Lake for breathtaking views.
– Visit Karola Glacier and explore Gyantse’s barley fields.
– Arrive in Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet, and settle in for the night.

DAY 5

– Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, home of the Panchen Lama.
– Travel towards Everest Base Camp, stopping at scenic Himalayan viewpoints.
– Witness the grandeur of Mount Everest at sunset from the base camp.
– Overnight at a tented guesthouse near Everest Base Camp.

DAY 6

– Experience a stunning sunrise over Mount Everest.
– Visit Rongbuk Monastery, the highest-altitude monastery in the world.
– Travel through breathtaking Himalayan landscapes to Saga, a key gateway to Mount Kailash.

DAY 7

– Cross the high-altitude Tibetan plateau, passing Manasarovar Lake and the first views of Mount Kailash.
– Arrive at Darchen, the base town for the Kailash Kora pilgrimage.

DAY 8-10

– Day 8: Trek 13 km to Drirapuk Monastery, offering stunning views of Kailash’s west face.
– Day 9: The toughest part of the trek — cross Drolma La Pass (5,630m) and pass Mercy Lake, believed to cleanse sins.
– Day 10: Complete the trek and transfer to Lake Manasarovar.

DAY 11

– Spend time by the sacred Manasarovar Lake, revered by Tibetan Buddhists and Hindus.
– Optional: Take a ritual dip or walk along the shores for a spiritual experience.

DAY 12-13

– Day 12: Journey back through Saga, passing Himalayan lakes and snow-capped peaks.
– Day 13: Descend to Kyirong Valley (2,800m), Tibet’s greenest region, offering a dramatic change in scenery.

DAY 14

– Enjoy a scenic drive along the Yarlung Tsangpo River, retracing your journey through Tibet.

DAY 15

– Transfer to the airport or train station for departure.
