sample tasty dragon fruit at siem reap’s plantations

Share

Local business owners hope to encourage tourism beyond the famous Angkor temples in Cambodia by shedding lights on the additional activities in the area. One such activity is visiting a plantation where dragon fruit is grown, which is a tasty, unique-looking tropical fruit that not many international travellers know about.

Located at the Spean Thmey Village about 60 kilometres north of Siem Reap, visitors can walk around the dragon fruit plantation and sample freshly picked fruit. While you’re there, talk to the local planters and take beautiful pictures of the surrounding landscape, too. The one-hour drive is also home to many beautiful temples and trees also worth stopping at.
