A new luxury train will travel between Ella and Kandy Railway Stations with service on Saturdays and Sundays.

Comfortable, air-conditioned trains will depart Kandy at 7:00 hours arriving in Ella ay 13:00 hours. Trains No: 1033 and 1034 between Kandy and Colombo Fort on Saturdays and Sundays have been cancelled.

Tickets can be reserved via mobile broadband operators and from Kandy and Ella railway stations. The price of a Kandy-Ella ticket price will be Rs.1,250 and Kandy-Nanu Oya will be Rs.1,000.
