Aitken Spence Hotels and Resorts is poised to introduce its Heritance brand to the Maldives with the opening of Heritance Aarah this year.

The 5-star resort is located on the previously uninhabited Raa Atoll, accessible by a scenic 40-minute seaplane flight from the main Velana International Airport.

Heritance Aarah will offer 157 villas and suites built with a fusion of indigenous Maldivian and modern architecture. Guests will be able to choose from world cuisines at six restaurants and enjoy exotic cocktails and a wide selection of wines at five bars.

Heritance Aarah will also feature an overwater spa with six treatment rooms set over the lagoon, in addition to a PADI licensed dive centre, water sports, a kids’ club, a tennis court and fully equipped gymnasium.
