Speaking at the opening of the Le Grand Galle at Kaluwella Galle, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says the project is the first of many in a bid to expand tourism across southern Sri Lanka and position the Galle region as a pre-eminent hub of sports activities in Asia.

Le Grand Galle is the sixth joint project completed by Asia Leisure with Belluna Co. Ltd of Japan. The new property consists of 50 luxury rooms and seven grand suites facing the waterfront just minutes from Dharmapala Park, Galle International Cricket Stadium, and the Old Fort.
